Testimonials

We want to thank the FOC and their youth corps for an excellent job of fire prevention or defensible space on our property July 26, 2011.  A crew of four youth arrived at 6:30 AM with a crew chief, and were finished by 9:00 AM.  After they trimmed trees and piled the slash, our property looked like a park. Thank you guys for one heck of a job!

I would like to thank the following young ladies and gentlemen who worked for the FOC Youth Corps cleared my land for fire suppression: David Arnold, Micah Bartlett, Ashley Biggers, Jocelyn Carr, RJ Cox, Bryan Doty, Allen Enos, Garrett Schmidt, Wyatt Sherrer, Cade Whitaker, Caleb Whitaker. My land was cleared beyond my expectation, now it looks like a park. Again, I’d like to thank them, and knowing them and the work that they did I know that the future is in good hands.

Thanks to Framing Our Community, Inc. of Elk City and Joyce Dearstyne, Director. Under her direction, approximately 10 to 11 young men and women came to our property and cleared a large hill side of brush, downed trees and ladder brush. They piled the brush in the most convenient place for us to burn, plus separated some of teh usable fire wood onto a separate pile. After this large amount of work, the fire danger to our property has been greatly reduced.
